Brief Counselling

Counselling and Psychotherapy

Are you struggling at the moment? Ever thought of getting the sort of help that friends and family cannot provide? Why not try confidential counselling with an experienced therapist who is not only aware of costs but who also offers a professional service, one who has his feet firmly on the ground.

Are you a little fed up, lost your way, experiencing tension in your relationships or with your children; or just feeling a little down and depressed, bored and unfulfilled? Don't suffer alone; there is help at hand.

The Type of Counselling Offered?
I practice Brief Therapy and am a Supervised Member of BACP offering time-is limited counselling of 3 - 6 sessions following an introductory interview. Having been a full-time School Counsellor for 25 years in a Birmingham secondary school which has recently become an Academy, I specialise in youth difficulties covering the whole range of teenage issues. I also offer individual and couples work with adults at my home, and in a general practice.

Past Experience
I formally trained in engineering, as a toolmaker, before moving into education and becoming a teacher in a secondary school, recently become an Academy. Finally I trained to become an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. I have practised widely in various settings, which include schools and colleges, GP surgeries and training centres.

Interests
I have an interest in research and psychology, in religious and nonreligious spirituality, as well as in British classical cars, youth work, and, since formal retirement, I generally occupy myself with lecturing and writing: my books can be accessed on Amazon.
